The Colours Of The Rainbow Tag...

I have seen posts and videos pop up everywhere around the internet for this tag, and I thought I'd be next to jump on the bandwagon. This tag involves finding products you love which match the colours of the rainbow.... So here goes.

Red - Bourjois Colour Boost in Red Sunrise

If you haven't heard anything about these lip crayons then you must've been living under a rock as every beauty lover and their gran have been raving about them. I have fallen in love with so many of the recent Bourjois products but this one is definitely a firm favourite. The colour is just so beautiful and absolutely perfect for my fair skin tone and dark hair.

Orange - Iced Raspberry & Vanilla Hair Spray by Fudge

I picked this up months ago after a recommendation in one of the lovely Zoella's videos, and after using it a fair amount it has fast become my go to hair spray. The hold is strong without going that horrid crispy way and the scent is amazing, I'm not normally a vanilla person but coupled with the raspberry it just works.

Yellow Stila: In The Light Palette

I really struggled with yellow, so bear with me. I decided on this Stila palette as yellow is associated with light?? (it made sense in my head). This was my first proper palette and to this day remains my favourite. The shades are so pigmented and are some of my most worn. I particulary love Kitten and Champagne.

Green - Extracts lemon & bergamot body butter

This stuff is gorgeous. I have fairly dry skin so moisturising is a big part of my routine. With that in mind I tend to stick to butters as I feel my skin needs more moisture, and this one works perfectly. It leaves my skin feeling so soft but not greasy and the smell reminds me of being on holiday, at the beach with a fruity cocktail in hand - bliss!

Blue - Maybelline The Rocket Mascara

To be honest I'm not the most adventurous with my mascaras, when I find one I like I tend to stick to it, and since trying this mascara out - I'm hooked! This gives my lashes a false effect and really opens up my eyes, I normally use one coat for day time but if I'm going out I use two coats for a more dramatic effect.

Purple - Anatomicals facial spritz : Spray Misty For Me

I love the anatomicals brand, their designs are always so funky and a bit different. I use this sprits first thing in the morning before any other products and it really awakens my skin. It's filled with peppermint, rose, lavender and aloe to name but a few and really gets me set for the day ahead.

Pink - Tangle Teezer

This thing is a genius!! My hair is super tuggy when I get out of the shower and this brush just glides through every tangle making blow drying less of a chore.

Multi-coloured

Not a beauty product but still deserves a mention. I got these letters as a birthday gift and they are just so me. I love the mix of sizes and colours and feel they really pull my room together.

The Inn Of Dreams...

Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, unlike Hugh Grant I don't think about the arrivals at Heathrow airport. Instead I head to my new love, The Beech Tree Inn. Located in Dumgoyne, by killearn and just a 40 minute drive from Glasgow centre, be prepared for amazing scenery and little country roads that are just screaming for a driving playlist.

This is a family run business and they really try to cater for everyone. A huge beer garden for the adults, a play park for the kids and an assortment of animals (including ducks, rabbits, goats and Teddy the Shetland Pony) for everyone in between.

As for food, well I always order the same thing- mac and cheese - which is amazing. The only thing I would say is the portion sizes are on the larger side which is sometimes a bit off putting. But they make up for that by serving the vinegar in thee cutest bottle known to man. I really do love the little things!

All in all this is a great little spot. Close enough that it's not a hassle to get to, but far enough away to make a day of it. This place always seems to recharge my batteries and if you feel like a break from the norm I would definitely check it out.

Nail of the month: Hed Kandi - Hedonist

With Glasgow getting unusually great weather, I've taken it upon myself to be a bit more bold with my nail polish choices. So when raiding around for a bright summery colour I stumbled across this gem by Models Own. Hed kandi - Hedonist was a little impulse shade that when I got home I instantly regretted . This neon coral shade had sat in my collection for a while now but with all this sunshine I had to try it out - and I love it!!

The formulation is great and looks really opaque after just one coat. I've worn this for almost 5 full days now and so far i'm chip free. What I will say though is this is definiely a base coat colour as it has a tendency to stain the nail.

Every time I've worn this shade recently i've had lots of compliments and for £5 it's an absolute steal!

The Introductions...

I'm Siobhan. I'm a 25 year old Glasgow girl and I'm confident I know myself pretty well. I know my passion in life is theatre (particularly musicals), I know I have an unhealthy obsession with London, and I know that in recent years I've become some what of a beauty product junkie. I also know I won't be winning many cool awards any time soon - and I'm okay with this.

Recently though I've become a bit too complacent in my little world, playing it safe and sticking to
what I know. Life is short and I want to try to have as many experiences as possible, which is the main reason I've decided to start a new blog.

My mission for the month of June is to start saying YES to more things and as I've thought about starting a lifestyle blog for  long enough, now seems like the perfect time. I'm excited to use the next year to document my life and hopefully challenge myslef along the way!
